Dean Pfeiffer, Trustee, went over the 2009 expenditures and explained why we had a variance of ($12,795) for the year on the Bath and Tennis portion. The major portion was from the pool. There were a number of pool code changes in the County that required us to upgrade some equipment.
We ended the year with a cash balance of $45,457 and a cash reserve of $6,282.
The Village of Winding Trails portion was under budget by $1,128.
There was a cash balance of $4,522.
Dean stated that we do not foresee any major expenses for the up coming year.
Since, we will be going into 2010 with a surplus the assessments will remain unchanged for the 2010 year at $275 for Bath and Tennis and $110 for the Village of Winding Trails.

Dana Fenster gave the updates on the pool and tennis courts. She explained that St. Louis County adopted new codes regarding pools and as such we had to install new safety equipment and post new signs around the pool.
As for the tennis courts we are experiencing new cracks on the courts. Last fall they were filled to help keep moisture out of them. At the start of the new year, the cracks were more visible. She explained that they will be repaired.
There have been problems with kids climbing the tennis court fence especially over the gate and pushing the rails down so that the gate would not close. It has been repaired twice.
Rick Pfarr gave and update on our neighborhood.
First, the retaining wall in front of the pool has been replace and within budget.
Second, he said that the dropping of dog waste is still a persisting problem around the pool grounds and common ground near the creek.
Third, the electric eye for the entrance sign off Clayton Rd was repaired.
Fourth, vandalism is and on going issue at the pool.
He has asked to have police patrols increased by Wildwood/St. Louis County Police. Last he asks if you are making any changes to the outside of your home to contact him before starting the work to insure that it complies with the Indentures.
Dana Fenster had completed her 3 years as Trustee and so nominations were accepted to replace her. Tammy Dietrich was the only candidate nominated. She was unanimously approved as our new Trustee and will serve 3 years.
Thank you Dana for your time these past three years, you did a fine job.

He gave an update on the activities in our neighborhood and said we have a very quite one. The only problem they encounter is theft from unlocked vehicles, and items taken when garage doors are left open at night. He said to call them (636 458-9194} if you see any suspicious activities and they will come and investigate.
Rick Wise, Ward 4 Councilman, was invited but was unable to attend.
