Received this email regarding why our sign says The Estates at Winding Trails and not Village of Winding Trails.

According to the Jones Co. Our subdivision was originally part of Winding Trails (and each area had their own "sign"). Sign went up, first houses being built, etc.

Then the people who were interested in moving into this area of WT didn't want to be part of such a HUGE development. Jones then changed it to be it's own area and did all the legal stuff so that this area of WT would then be it's own subdivision. Changing of the sign would be at the expense of the VWT homeowners association.

When Jones Co. prepared the Indentures they also added the section that residents of the Winding Trails subdivision could apply to be members of the pool, which was named Winding Trails Bath & Tennis Club. Not confirmed, but Jones Co. promised a pool for the Winding Trails subdivision and this is how the company kept their promise.

And why are houses on Crimson View part of our subdivision: Jones Co. had the idea of building luxury homes for themselves at the top of the hill behind Still Creek Pass. A bridge was to be put across the creek and a road to the top of the hill. (There was no access to that area since the neighboring property was woods.) Never happened and the "hill" was donated to the County and the land at the top of the hill (Plat 3) used for homes that were built once the "Ellisville woods" were developed into the Autumn View subdivision in Ellisville.
